Fish
Clownfish (Amphiprioninae)
Bright orange fish with white stripes that live among the tentacles of anemones. Clownfish live in symbiosis with the anemone, receiving protection from predators.
Conservation status:
Endangered due to destruction of coral reefs.
Lionfish (Pterois)
An exotic fish with poisonous spines on its fins. Often found in secluded areas of the reef, especially during the day.
Conservation status:
Not threatened, but invasive in some areas.
Corals and Reef Crawler
Coral Polyp (Scleractinia)
Reef foundation providing a home for a variety of marine life. Grows slowly, building reef structure over decades.

Vulnerable due to climate change and pollution.
Starfish (Acanthaster planci)
A beautiful but dangerous reef predator. Feeds on corals and can cause serious damage if populations are not controlled.
